Wicked Butcher is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager to join our Fort Worth team. We are looking for a hands-on hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced, fine-dining environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
The Assistant Manager will support the restaurant's management team with daily front-of-house operations, staff supervision, guest relations, and maintaining Wicked Butcher's standards of service and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Support management with daily front-of-house operations
- Supervise and assist FOH employees throughout service
- Maintain high standards for hospitality, service, cleanliness, and restaurant presentation
- Help conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities
- Train and coach servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Monitor dining room flow, reservations, and service pacing
- Assist with guest concerns and service recovery
- Ensure employees follow company policies and service standards
- Maintain strong knowledge of food, steaks, wine, spirits, and cocktails
- Communicate effectively with culinary and management teams throughout service
- Assist with private dining, special events, and VIP guests
- Monitor side work and ensure opening and closing duties are completed properly
- Help maintain compliance with food safety and TABC requirements
- Lead by example and maintain a professional presence on the floor
Qualifications
- 2 years of restaurant supervisory or management experience preferred
- Fine-dining, steakhouse, or upscale restaurant experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of elevated service standards
- Excellent communication and guest-service skills
- Ability to coach employees and hold team members accountable
- Organized and comfortable working in a high-volume environment
- Wine, spirits, and steakhouse knowledge is a plus
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- TABC and Food Handler/Manager certifications preferred
