Suspension of Drexel University's Contribution into 403(b) Retirement Plan
As communicated on Oct. 10, Drexel University is suspending its contributions to employee retirement plans for calendar year 2025 as part of its multi-year plan to build financial resilience. Drexel is continuing to monitor the situation and will share updates as they become available for calendar year 2026.

Job Summary
Drexel University is seeking a full-time outpatient faculty physician for the Drexel Student Health Center. The Student Health Center is located in the center of the Drexel University Campus and providers services for a population of 24K. We are seeking a highly skilled, patient centered, experienced physician to join our multi-disciplinary healthcare team. You will be working in collaboration with other health care professionals to provide ambulatory primary care to students of Drexel University. Currently, there are no in-patient or hospital responsibilities.
This position starts as a 3-year contract with possibility to extend additional years.
Essential Functions
This is a Full-Time Faculty position classified as Exempt. The offered salary is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review. - Provide direct medical care in a primary care setting, including visits by appointment, walk-in and telehealth; mass immunization/preventive medicine programs; performing procedures and other special tasks, based on skills and credentialing.
- Consult with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
- Recommend and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition.
- Monitor lab results, medication adherence and medication toxicities.
- Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccinations, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
- Explain and discuss procedures, test results, or prescribed treatment with the patient.
- Coordinate work with nurses, social workers, rehabilitation therapists, pharmacists, psychologists and other health care providers.
- Refer patients to medical specialists when necessary.
- Participate in quality improvement and other administrative activities.
- Create quality improvement and research projects as assigned and available.
- Provide for emergency and on-going medical treatment of students as appropriate within existing policy.
- Provide health related outreach services to the campus community periodically.
- Opportunity to teach medical student and family medicine residents.
- Minimum of a Medical Doctor (MD) in M.D. or D.O.; completion of residency training program in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a clinical, outpatient setting.
- Ability to work 1 evening a week (until 7pm) and 1 weekend per year.
- Experience with IUD insertion and management of related complications.

- Typically bending, crouching, stooping
