Primary Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy and Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's longterm financial strategy aligned with organizational goals and expansion plans.
- Provide datadriven recommendations to ownership regarding profitability, division performance, and investments.
- Lead annual or quarterly budget planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Advise leadership on growth opportunities, risk mitigation, and financial sustainability.
- Accounting Oversight and Standardization
- Oversee all accounting functions, including A/R, A/P, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Implement standardized accounting procedures across Retail, Builder, and Commercial divisions to improve accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure accurate job costing, margin analysis, and product profitability reporting.
- Improve monthend closing processes for timeliness and accuracy.
- Manage annual financial audits, reviews, and tax filings.
- Cost Reduction & Operational Efficiency
- Analyze labor, material, freight, overhead, and vendor expenses to identify costsaving opportunities.
- Work closely with the Director of Operations to evaluate operational processes, departmental costs, and workflow efficiency to ensure alignment with companywide costreduction goals.
- Establish benchmarks and KPIs for operational efficiency across divisions.
- Oversee cash flow management and implement strategies to improve working capital.
- Develop vendor performance tracking and negotiate improved pricing structures where applicable.
- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls and risk management processes to protect company assets.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain relationships with external auditors and ensure audit readiness.
- Treasury & Stakeholder Relations
- Manage banking relationships and optimize capital allocation strategies.
- Oversee treasury functions including credit lines, loan covenants, and financing arrangements.
- Serve as primary financial liaison with banks, lenders, insurance providers, and other financial partners.

- Expansion & Strategic Projects
- Support leadership in evaluating potential new markets, acquisitions, product lines, and facility expansions.
- Create financial models for capital projects, ROI, and longterm investment decisions.
- Implement systems and processes that support scalable growth.
- Systems, Software, & Reporting Improvements
- Oversee financial systems and lead modernization or upgrades as needed (RFMS, CRM integrations, inventory tools, etc.).
- Work in partnership with the Director of Operations to improve crossdepartment data flow, reporting visibility, and operational/financial alignment.
- Ensure accurate and actionable reporting dashboards for leadership and division managers.
- Improve integration between sales, operations, accounting, and purchasing.
- Leadership, Culture & Cross-Department Collaboration
- Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team to build a highperforming department.
- Provide clear communication to division managers regarding budgets, expectations, and results.
- Foster a highaccountability, continuousimprovement culture across the organization.

Qualifications
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required
- MBA or CPA strongly preferred
- Minimum 810 years of financial leadership experience
- Strong preference for experience in construction, homebuilding, manufacturing, or distribution industries
- Proven track record of building and mentoring highperforming finance teams
- Experience implementing standardized accounting processes and system improvements
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software platforms
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Expertise in job costing and margin analysis
- Strategic vision with ability to align financial strategy with business objectives
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to present complex financial information to ownership and board members
