Workers will operate and maintain a variety of agricultural equipment used in hay and grain production on a 3,000-acre farm. Duties include field preparation, planting, irrigating, cultivating, and harvesting crops in alignment with seasonal needs. Equipment operated may include tractors, mowers, balers, rakes, and other mechanized implements. Workers will conduct daily checks and perform routine maintenance on machinery, such as cleaning, lubricating, fueling, and monitoring for mechanical issues. Accurate and safe operation of equipment is essential across various terrain and weather conditions. Additional tasks may include moving equipment between fields, assisting with the setup and maintenance of irrigation systems, and performing basic post-harvest fieldwork. The role requires the ability to follow complex equipment procedures, fieldwork schedules, and safety practices. Workers must be able to perform physically demanding tasks for extended hours, maintaining productivity and quality. This job requires previous experience operating and maintaining agricultural machinery used in crop production. The position is seasonal, with employment running from March 15 to December 15, aligning with the farm’s peak operational period. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.
