Our legal practice is continuing to grow, and we’re currently seeking a Legal Assistant. The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and have an ability to take initiative, and prioritize daily tasks. A strong ability to be proactive and meet tight deadlines will ensure your success in this role.
Responsibilities:
· Drafting non-party discovery requests to medical providers and employers
· Following up on non-party requests to ensure responses are timely received and invoices are paid
· Drafting pleadings and written discovery templates
· Occasionally e-file pleadings and motions
· Occasionally perform fact investigations
· Operating office equipment including printers, copiers, and fax machines
· Compiling, maintaining and updating records
Qualifications:
· Prior legal experiencerequired
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to multitask
· Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite and web-based applications
