Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to support the developmental and emotional needs of children in our care environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, experience with infants and toddlers, and a genuine passion for nurturing young minds. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and supportive atmosphere for children of various ages, including those with special needs or disabilities. The Childcare Provider will work closely with families and team members to promote healthy growth and learning through age-appropriate activities and attentive caregiving.
Duties
- Supervise and monitor children during play, meals, naps, and educational activities
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote childhood development and learning
- Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean, hazard-free environment
- Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or behavioral issues
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and personal hygiene routines for infants and toddlers
- Support children with disabilities or special needs through tailored care plans and inclusive activities
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, attendance, and developmental milestones
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive classroom atmosphere that fosters social skills and emotional well-being
Skills
- Experience with children in daycare, preschool, or caregiving roles
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Ability to manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is a plus
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is advantageous
- Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Patience, compassion, and a nurturing attitude toward young children
- Classroom experience or experience in early childhood education settings is highly desirable
- Ability to create engaging educational activities that promote learning through play
