NEST Day Resource Navigator
Regular Half/Full-Time: 26 - 36 hours per week, non-exempt, hourly
Resource Advocate:
- Provide service with integrity, respect, empathy, and confidentiality
- Ensures provision of basic services in an emotionally and physically safe, clean, and supportive atmosphere
- Engages as a member of a team of care to ensure safety, stability, and permanency using trauma-informed care
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
- Experience in case management and working with target population preferred.
Resource Advocate Responsibilities:
- Build trusting relationships with participants experiencing homelessness through consistent, compassionate engagement
- Conduct intakes, assessments, and service plans for individuals using the resource center
- Connect participants to housing programs, mental health services, substance use treatment, and other community resources
- Provide assistance with ID applications, medical appointments, benefits enrollment, and transportation coordination
- Assist participants with access to mail, phone, internet, and hygiene services
- Maintain accurate, confidential participant records in accordance with program and funder requirements
- Report participant outcomes and service connections
- Collaborate with outreach and housing staff to ensure continuity of care
- Support the daily operations of the Day Resource Center including check-in, referrals, and coordination of donated goods
- Help ensure the safety, cleanliness, and welcoming environment of the center
- De-escalate conflicts using trauma-informed and harm reduction techniques
- Remain aware of current services offered by service providers such as mental health, housing, and employment assistance and make referrals as appropriate
- Attend all meetings including weekly check-ins, clinical supervision, reflective supervision, weekly staff meetings, and all staff meetings
- Complete and attend trainings as assigned
- Maintain a clean driving record based on DreamTree Project insurance requirements
- Participate in the on-call rotation schedule
- Other duties as assigned
Additional Compensation:
- $100 = 30 Days after start date
- $100 = 60 Days after start date
