Job Title: Enchanted Circle Corps (ECC)/Volunteer Coordinator
Reports To: Director of Adult Services
Position Status: Full-time, regular, employee at 30-36 hours per week. Non-exempt. This position is a combination of in-person and remote work. Option to renew contingent on funding availability.
Program Manager:
- Provides services with integrity, respect, empathy, and confidentiality to clients/families, members, and donors.
- Supports a safe and structured environment for all staff and clients.
Purpose:
To coordinate and facilitate a Taos-based AmeriCorps Program, the Enchanted Circle Corps (ECC), on behalf of DreamTree Project. The ECC is a Taos-based AmeriCorps Program that places ECC Members for terms of service at DreamTree Project, including NEST (a local crisis shelter) and Street Outreach. The ECC Program Manager is responsible for supporting NEST/Street Outreach and its ECC Members in day-to-day service activities, providing guidance to ensure all ECC Program requirements, AmeriCorps Program services and reporting requirements are met in a timely manner. The ECC Program Manager will work closely with DreamTree Project staff, NEST Managers and Members; and the local community.
The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to support DreamTree Project’s mission and activities. The volunteer coordinator will work closely with DreamTree Project staff, volunteers, and the local community to grow the program and consistently evaluate the program’s efficacy.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma/GED and at least 4 years of relevant work/service experience; OR Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years of relevant work/service experience
- At least one year of experience in a leadership role, in either a professional or volunteer capacity

ECC Program Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage recruitment of AmeriCorps Members for placement at the NEST Host Site; coordinate with and support the NEST Host Site throughout the recruitment and Member(s) hiring/placement process
- Manage the ECC Member onboarding process including initiating criminal background checks, fingerprinting, administrative paperwork, appropriate documentation, and coordinating driving background checks with HR when needed, etc.
- Coordinate and facilitate AmeriCorps trainings (Host Site Supervisor and Member) as required by the grant; publish a training schedule for the service year.
- Act as a liaison with the Serve NM Commission for DTP and Members regarding any AmeriCorps issues
- Participate in NEST team and ECC Member check-ins to provide mentoring, coaching and guidance
- Coordinate mandatory Community Service Events (minimum of 1 event per year) required for AmeriCorps members
- Responsible for ensuring all grant requirements are met including managing Member service time and activities; maintaining accurate documentation and submitting programmatic reports as required by Serve NM Commission and the Corporation for National and Community Service
- Responsible for management and oversight of ECC Members, as it relates to the overall AmeriCorps Program; maintain Members’ files as required by the grant; and support supervisor in administering any disciplinary actions that may be necessary
- Other support as needed, if justifiable as a reasonable cost pursuant to the AmeriCorps grant

Volunteer Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Responsible for recruitment, training, and coordination of volunteers to support DreamTree Project’s mission and activities
- Create volunteer schedules, matching volunteers with appropriate roles, and ensuring adequate staffing for events and activities
- Work independently to maintain up-to-date and accurate volunteer databases including contacts and resource lists; recruitment activities by type/frequency, and hours worked by each volunteer
- Keep volunteers informed about opportunities, changes, and organizational updates through various communication channels
- Prepare monthly reports assessing the effectiveness of the volunteer programs and making recommendations for improvement
- Identify and resolve volunteer-related issues to maintain a positive working environment for all
- Complete and attend all trainings as assigned
- Attend scheduled one-on-one meetings with Supervisor and regular staff meetings
- Maintain a clean driving record based on DreamTree Project insurance req’s.
- Participate in on-call rotation

- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to not only focus on current tasks, but also have the foresight to plan ahead and meet Program deadlines as necessary
- Ensure timely completion of all required program training, documentation, and reporting
- Capable of leading meetings and presenting to groups as necessary; responsibilities may include: meeting agenda/presentation creation; meeting facilitation; provide guidance and /or background program information; record/document the event
- Moderate technology literacy to include: ability to use a computer, correspond via email; use an online calendar and create and submit documents and/or reports to partners and funders
Additional Compensation:
- $100 = 30 Days after start date
- $100 = 60 Days after start date
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
