DreamShip Center is seeking eager, outgoing, passionate individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. Behavior Technicians provide center-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Paid Training Program & Professional Development Opportunities
Flexible and full-time positions available. Sessions take place one-on-one with the client in our center and are typically scheduled for 3hrs in duration. Technician can have a caseload of 2-5 clients ranging in age from 2-18 and can expect to be scheduled between 8:30am - 5:30pm M-F. This can vary depending on the needs of our clients.
Specific Responsibilities Include
- Work one-on-one with a child with developmental delays in a number of skill areas, such as conversation skills, fine / gross motor skills, self-help skills, and pre-academic skills.
- Introduce and run therapy programs developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Take data during session while targeting different skills
- Clients do sometimes exhibit more aggressive behaviors, so it’s important that you’re comfortable working with all types
- Desire to achieve positive outcomes for clients
- Attend team meetings and coordinate with a team of therapists and caregivers
Experience/Qualifications
- Experience working with children and young adults
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must possess excellent communication skills, compassion, and patience
- Must pass criminal background check
- Availability to work at least 2-3 weekday shifts
