Responsibilities
- Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools to maintain turf and landscaped areas efficiently.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, trimming trees, and shrubbery care.
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Use hand tools and ground maintenance equipment safely to install or repair hardscape features like pathways or retaining walls.
- Conduct plant identification to properly care for diverse flora and apply pesticides or fertilizers following safety protocols.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or winterizing landscapes during off-peak periods.
- Follow all safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
Qualifications
- Prior outdoor work experience or background in grounds maintenance or landscaping is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment, power tools, and irrigation systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate grounds maintenance machinery such as excavators or tree care equipment when necessary.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles, plant identification, and pesticide management practices.
- Strong adherence to safety protocols and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new techniques in lawn care and landscape maintenance.
