Ranch Hand / Farm Maintenance Technician
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience working with horses and is comfortable performing a variety of ranch and property maintenance tasks. While we are willing to teach horse handling and daily equine care, applicants must have experience operating tractors and farm equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for horses, including feeding, watering, and general barn duties (training provided if needed)
- Safely operate tractors and other farm equipment
- Build, repair, and maintain fencing
- Install and repair water lines, piping, and other ranch infrastructure
- Perform general property maintenance and groundskeeping
- Complete additional ranch and maintenance projects as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Previous equine experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Experience operating tractors is required
- Knowledge of fencing, plumbing/piping, and general property maintenance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, dependable, and willing to learn
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry at least 40 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including walking, bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
