Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will ensure that all food products meet strict safety and quality standards by implementing and maintaining robust quality systems. Your expertise will help uphold compliance with industry regulations and support continuous improvement initiatives. Help maintain a working environment where employees work safely, efficiently, and cooperatively. The technician will spend the majority of their time in the production kitchen.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems to verify product specifications and detect deviations.
  • Perform regular quality audits across manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and FDA regulations.

Collect, analyze, and document data related to product quality, process performance, and compliance metrics to support quality management systems.

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and review of quality control procedures
  • Support root cause analysis investigations for quality issues, recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Participate in internal and external quality audits, preparing documentation and facilitating continuous improvement efforts.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to work in cold room for several hours a day.
  • Ability to lift 30-50#
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, squat, turn body, and walk.
  • Ability to talk and hear, must be able to hear electronic signals or timers.
  • Ability to use close and distance vision, depth perception, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • ability to work in an environment that may involve moderate exposure to fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises.

Qualifications

  • High school graduated or GED required.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on food safety or quality assurance roles.
  • Strong analysis skills with proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and vision inspection systems.
  • Knowledge of industry standards including HACCP, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and FDA regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform accurate data collection and analysis.
  • Effective communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple audits, inspections, and documentation processes efficiently. Join us in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality!
