Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented F-02 and Fire Safety Director to oversee fire safety protocols, system design, and building code compliance across our facilities. This role involves ensuring adherence to international fire safety standards, conducting construction inspections, managing fire alarm systems, and implementing fire prevention measures. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of life safety building codes, NFPA standards, and fire apparatus operation to safeguard personnel and property effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and implement fire safety procedures aligned with the International Fire Code (IFC) and local building codes.
- Conduct regular fire prevention inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with NFPA standards.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and testing of sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and fire sprinkler fittings.
- Perform construction inspections related to fire safety systems and ensure adherence to building code analysis requirements.
- Operate fire apparatus equipment safely during emergency responses or drills.
- Manage alarm system sales and fire alarm sales initiatives to enhance facility safety measures.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection during inspections or system testing.
Experience
- Proven experience in security operations with a focus on fire safety management.
- Strong background in system design related to fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and hazard mitigation.
- Hands-on construction inspection experience within commercial or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of hazmat procedures and handling hazardous materials safely.
- Familiarity with building code analysis, life safety building codes, and IFC compliance standards.
- Experience operating firefighting equipment and understanding NFPA standards for fire prevention.
- Prior involvement in fire prevention inspections, alarm system sales, or related construction projects is highly desirable.
