Position Overview

DreamHouse ʻEwa Beach PCS is seeking a licensed Behavior Analyst to serve as a clinical, consultative, and supervisory leader within our student support framework. This role supports students with behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs through evidence-based, ethical behavior-analytic practices within a school-based environment. The Behavior Analyst works closely with teachers, administrators, counselors, special education teams, and families to assess behavior, design interventions, monitor progress, and build staff capacity. This position plays a critical role in supporting IEP implementation, improving student outcomes, and strengthening school-wide behavior systems.

Core Responsibilities Student Assessment and Intervention
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and other educationally relevant assessments

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans aligned with IEP goals

  • Design and oversee Applied Behavior Analysis programs in classroom and school settings

  • Observe students across instructional environments to assess behavior and intervention fidelity

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to guide instructional and intervention decisions

Collaboration and Team Support
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, counselors, and related service providers

  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, student support meetings, and problem-solving teams

  • Consult with staff on behavior strategies, classroom supports, and positive behavior interventions

  • Communicate clearly with families regarding behavioral goals, progress, and strategies

Supervision and Staff Development
  • Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and performance feedback to Behavioral Technicians and other paraprofessionals

  • Ensure supervision practices align with BACB standards and ethical guidelines

  • Train staff using evidence-based methods such as Behavioral Skills Training

  • Support paraprofessionals seeking to build competencies in behavior-analytic practices

Compliance and Program Development
  • Ensure compliance with BACB standards, ethical requirements, and State of Hawaiʻi regulations

  • Maintain accurate documentation, data systems, and progress reports

  • Support the development, refinement, and implementation of school-wide behavior systems

  • Contribute to program planning, continuous improvement efforts, and best-practice alignment

Minimum Qualifications Education

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in behavior analysis, education, psychology, or a closely related field

Experience

Three years of post-master’s professional experience providing behavioral, counseling, or therapeutic services
At least one year of experience providing Applied Behavior Analysis services to individuals with disabilities
Experience may be independent or under BACB-approved supervision

Licensure

Valid State of Hawaiʻi Behavior Analyst license required
Valid Hawaiʻi driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate degree in behavior analysis, education, or psychology
Experience working in school-based or special education environments
Experience supervising ABA paraprofessionals or Behavioral Technicians
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
  • Applied Behavior Analysis and evidence-based intervention strategies

  • Special Education laws, IEP processes, FBAs, and BIPs

  • Data collection systems, graphing, analysis, and progress monitoring

  • Behavioral Skills Training and staff coaching methods

  • Ethical decision-making and case conceptualization

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to build trust and collaborative relationships with staff and families

Work Environment
  • School-based setting serving students with diverse behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs

  • Students may include those with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other significant learning challenges

  • Fast-paced charter school environment with evolving systems and opportunities for leadership

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation, including observing students, participating in meetings, and supporting staff across school settings.
