What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Room Teacher position at dreamers at palatine?
Dreamers Childcare is seeking to hire one (1) professional and qualified teacher to help our Infant Classroom grow and be a part of our team. Although the main responsibilities engage with caring for children 6 weeks-15 months, here at Dreamers we believe in the importance of crafting a curriculum that best fits every individual child's growth and working individually with our families to ensure a healthy and happy time at school. Therefore, proactive personalities, compassionate, and responsible individuals are urged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Develop a careful and creative program suitable for infant children that helps explore both gross and fine motor skills.
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children and communicate this with our parents.
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem and introduce appropriate tools to help steer each child in a proper direction.
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
- Detailed orientation is essential when completely children’s progress and report to parents
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche and work with our offices to ensure that each child is developing appropriately.
- Collaborate with other educators and work as a team player.
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
- Create innovative ideas and approaches to every-day work life.
Skills
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
- BSc/BA in education or relevant field/with minimum of 6 ECE hours
