Job Summary

Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early intervention, literacy education, and overall childhood development in infants and toddlers.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, social interaction, and emotional security through effective classroom management strategies.
- Engage in hands-on activities that support motor skills, sensory exploration, language acquisition, and early math concepts aligned with Montessori principles when applicable.
- Monitor individual child progress through observations, assessments, and standardized testing where appropriate; tailor lessons to meet diverse needs including special education considerations.
- Manage daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and physical activities while ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children’s developmental milestones, behavior management strategies, and classroom updates to foster a strong home-school connection.
- Maintain detailed documentation of lesson plans, child progress reports, incident reports, and classroom records in compliance with childcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings; preschool or daycare experience is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and classroom management best practices.
- Familiarity with curriculum development for infants and toddlers that incorporates literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and Montessori methods when relevant.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that support early intervention strategies and special education needs.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, team members, and external specialists such as speech therapists or early intervention providers.
- Demonstrated commitment to child welfare and creating a safe learning environment adhering to health standards.
- Certification in early childhood education or related fields preferred; ongoing professional development in toddler care is encouraged.
