Responsibilities

• Assist with planting, transplanting, watering, fertilizing, and pruning of plants to promote healthy growth.
• Operate irrigation systems and manage irrigation schedules to ensure optimal soil moisture levels.
• Maintain greenhouse environments by monitoring temperature, humidity, and ventilation systems for ideal plant conditions.
• Pest management to control pests and diseases with the use of chemicals and fertilization.
• Use hand tools and heavy lifting equipment safely to move soil, plants, and materials around the nursery.

Skills

• Knowledge of plant identification
• Ability to operate gardening tools, lawn care equipment, and land management machinery safely.
• Strong understanding of crop production processes and land preparation practices.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to fertilizers or irrigation adjustments.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
