What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Child Care Leader position at DREAM Co.?
Do you enjoy working with children? Our after school A program is looking for hard working and energetic staff to work with children in grades k-6. Program includes time for homework assistance, as well as planning and running activities that may include crafts, music, drama, sports, and character development activities.
Responsibilities
- Design and follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching material
- Balance your teaching between logical and social exercises
- Provide basic care and caregiving activities
- Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance the child’s abilities
- Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action
- Collaborate with other colleagues
- Adhere with teaching standards and safety guidelines as established by the company
Requirements
- Must be physically fit enough to keep up with our energetic keiki on a daily basis.
- Must be hard working and have a positive attitude.
- Methodical and creative
- Patience, flexibility and love for children
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Must have a clean background check.
Availability
After School Work Hours (subject to change):
- Mon, Tue, Ths, Fri - 1:45 - 5:30 pm
- Wednesdays - 1:00 - 5:30 pm
Job Type: Part-time
