What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Engineer / Data Architect position at DRC Systems USA LLC?
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and build scalable Azure-based data platforms
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SQL
- Design robust data models (dimensional, SCD, historized data)
- Implement data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
- Work with Databricks, ADF, Synapse, and other Azure services
- Contribute to AI-assisted SDLC and agentic workflows
Required Skills:
- 10–15 years in data engineering / architecture
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Azure Data Lake (ADLS Gen2), Databricks, ADF, Synapse
- Azure SQL / SQL Server, Azure DevOps
- Expertise in SQL, Python, PySpark
- Strong understanding of:
- Lakehouse architecture, batch & streaming processing
- Incremental data processing & CDC
- Experience with data modeling and optimization
Preferred Experience:
- Healthcare Payer / Medicaid domain
- Knowledge of Claims, Member, Provider, Eligibility data
- Familiarity with HIPAA / PHI compliance
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field
- Relevant certifications are a plus
