ERP System Support Specialist

Summary

The ERP System Support Specialist manages and optimizes our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), managing work order material demand, implementing process improvements, and supporting IT hardware such as computers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment. The ideal candidate is an IT professional who has proven experience analyzing, designing and implementing. This role has a strong blend of ERP expertise, process optimization skills, and basic IT support knowledge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain accurate and structured BOMs in the ERP system.
• Ensure BOMs align with engineering specifications, manufacturing processes, and cost structures.
• Work closely with engineering, procurement, and production teams to resolve BOM discrepancies.
• Identify inefficiencies within the ERP system and recommend solutions to improve data accuracy and workflow automation.
• Develop and implement new processes that enhance manufacturing and engineering productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve ERP utilization and best practices.
• Serve as a key point of contact for ERP-related engineering support, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Provide training and documentation to internal teams on ERP processes and best practices.
• Assist in ERP system upgrades, testing, and configuration changes.
• Provide basic support for company computers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment (printers, scanners, etc.).
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for employees, escalating complex problems to the IT team as needed.
• Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of new laptops, desktops, and mobile phones.
• Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and assist in hardware procurement decisions.
• Support software installations and updates on company devices.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Education/Training/Experience

• Associate's degree in related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2 years of experience in ERP system support, BOM management, and/or manufacturing planning.
• Proven, hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Infor Visual, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar.
• Strong proficiency in data management, material planning, and workflow automation.
• Experience providing basic IT hardware support in a business environment.
• Familiarity with Windows, Mac, and mobile operating systems for IT device support.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and engineering documentation.
• Proficiency in Excel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
