JOB PURPOSE:
The Marketing Research Analyst role will involve providing valuable insights to support management and division leadership in their decision-making processes related to product designs and pricing by utilizing market trends and analytical data to enhance business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Possess the ability to independently analyze qualitative data, identify trends, assess strategies, and evaluate competition, with the goal of enhancing competitiveness.
- Gathers and interprets market research data, generating reports, and preparing findings to management.
- Collect data on consumers, competitors and marketplace and consolidate information into actionable items, reports, and presentations.
- Understand business objectives and analytical methods to discover prospective customers’ preferences.
- Compile and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it.
- Must possess the ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative-taking abilities, have strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of market dynamics.
- Experience in data visual software (i.e., Power BI)
- Perform valid and reliable market research analysis.
- Interpret data, formulate reports, and make recommendations.
- Use online market research and catalogue findings to databases.
- Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales, and methods of operation.
- Remain fully informed on market trends, ability to execute continual market research and implement best practices.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proven experience in Market Research Analysis
- Ability to interpret substantial amounts of data and to multi-task.
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Experience using search engines, web analytics and business research tools.
- Familiarity with CRM programs
- Adequate knowledge of data collection methods
- Working knowledge of data warehousing, modelling, and mining
- Strong analytical and critical thinking
- Experience in homebuilding, real estate, or similar industry preferred
Education and Work Experience
- BS degree in Statistics, Business, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience with degree; five plus years without degree
