This position will require a highly organized, detail-oriented individual to coordinate the administrative activities of our Purchasing department while assisting with the daily activities of the department functions.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Works independently and within a team on daily tasking and special projects. Prepares and reviews financial, statistical, narrative and / or other reports or data entry as requested by management
- Reconciles department invoices for approval and processing
- Responsible for maintaining spreadsheets, statistical reports, etc.
- Supports purchasing team members in various tasks related to vendor system set up, handling incoming and outgoing calls from vendors and other departments
- May provide administrative support to other departments (when required by manager)
- Other duties as apparent or assigned
Knowledge and Skills
- Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, must have moderate to expert use of computer skills, ability to proof documents for content and errors, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in drafting letters, department communications/emails, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Detail orientedand organized
- Problem solving and research skills
- Must be a self-starter and demonstrates taking initiative
- Must be able to meet deadlines and schedules
- Must adhere to work schedules and be dependable
- Must be able to present a professional and team-oriented appearance
- Time Management skills a must!
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- 2-3 years administrative office experience with proven computer skills
- Previous homebuilding experience is preferred, but not required
