Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Dispatcher - Dispatcher that will be responsible for Driving Box Truck to deliver packages and also overseeing the performance and safety of delivery associates (DA) on route, Superior operational efficiency to ensure timely and accurate package deliveries. This role requires a strong leader with excellent problem-solving skills, great communication skills and the ability to conduct business in a high-paced work environment, and a focus on Driver’s success and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in logistics, transportation, delivery and warehouse operations.
- Understanding of FMCSA, DOT and transportation.
- Route optimization
- Experience with Amazon DSP operating AMXL
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using logistics software, GPS tracking systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Ability to lift to 70 lbs. and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily load out, delivery operations, return to station activities, ensuring all routes are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Monitor real-time delivery progress, troubleshoot delays, and optimize routes as needed
- Maintain high customer service standards by ensuring timely and accurate package deliveries.
- Execute route by driving 26ft box truck alongside Helpers to deliver up to 250lbs packages for Amason's customers.
- Handle escalations related to delivery issues and implement process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction
- Lead coaching and facilitate Driver and Helper's orientation.
- Actively document all occurrences during prior, during and post route execution.
- Inspect Fleet and ensure vehicles are fit for routes
- Train new Drivers and Helpers
- Manage phone, gas card, charging cables inventories.
