What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Buyer position at Draslovka?
The purpose of the Senior Buyer is leading the Capital and Site Services categories, by developing, implementing, and executing a supply strategy based on market conditions, business needs and available resources. In this role, the Senior Buyer will manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturing, project management and operations. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of procurement processes in complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Supply Strategies aligned with business objectives and market conditions.
- Use negotiation skills to achieve favorable terms and sustainable agreements with suppliers.
- RFx management by leading the preparation and issuance of RFIs, RFQs and RFPs to effectively select the right supplier.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives within Site Services and Capital.
- Negotiate contractual agreements by understanding and applying legal fundamentals.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, project management, and operations teams to optimize procurement processes and support project milestones.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related fields.
- 3 years of progressive experience as a Buyer in a procurement function, preferably within a chemical or related industry.
- Professional Proficiency in MS Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in contract management, construction, or engineering-related procurement.
- Experience with Capital Expenditure (Capex) projects, including engagement with engineering firms.
