What are the responsibilities and job description for the Order Entry Clerk position at Draper, Inc.?
Draper, Inc. has an excellent opportunity for an Order Clerk in our Window Coverings sales department. This is a full-time hourly position with a work schedule of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The individual in this position will also be trained to transition into a Shade Sales Estimator role at a later date. The essential functions and qualifications are listed below.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Enter all Shade orders and changes into MacPac and Draper online.
- Verifies pricing, order completion, product information, part numbers for standard products, and other information with Sales employees.
- Communicates with other departments regarding credit, shipping, and scheduling issues.
- Assist sales with quoting and other tasks as time permits.
Shade Sales Estimator Responsibilities
- The primary responsibility of this position is to be interchangeable with the Inside Sales Representative position with a focus on pulling quote requests out of the sales inbox that are submitted by dealers and turnaround those quotes in 24 hours.
- Review project specifications and ensure that we are submitting an equal or better product on the quote we provide the customer.
- Process orders that are submitted.
- Review any shipping issues including packaging details and shipping methods.
- Communicate with dealers as necessary to clarify any questions on orders or RFQ's.
- Complete sample requests for literature, fabric samples, product samples, or any additional tools the customer might request.
- Complete return authorization paperwork (cases) for replacement products and work with customer service to determine the best course of action.
- Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
- Keeps abreast of competitive environment as well as maintains thorough knowledge of Draper product.
- Communicate with Residential RSM's as needed regarding quotes, orders, dealers, etc.
- As needed, participates in training customers on products and/or processes.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness.
- Strong time management, organization, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills required.
- Self-motivated.
- Able to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
- Competent with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good communication skills.
