Consultant

SUMMARY: BTG is seeking a consultant for our VPRA project with a focus on compliance and civil rights support. This person should have attention to detail, a strong ability to analyze information, perform analysis on tracking software, and collaborate with vendors and key stakeholders. The candidate must be flexible, adaptable, and open-minded to meeting project/program needs and requirements. Candidates local to Virginia strongly preferred or must have the ability and willingness to travel.

The Consultant works closely with an assigned Project Manager to provide advice and expertise to clients to help them improve their business performance in terms of operations, profitability, management, structure, and strategy. The work can stretch across a variety of areas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead and collaborate on project engagements.

· Organizing and executing assigned business projects on behalf of clients according to client’s requirements.

· Meeting with assigned clients when needed and performing an initial assessment of problematic situations.

· Collecting information about client’s business through a variety of methods (shadowing, interviews, survey is, reading reports, etc.)

· Create analytical models that simulate or forecast business problems and results.

· Present findings and suggestions to clients with ample justification and practical advice.

· Develop plans and programs for change implementation in the organization.

· Communicate and collaborate with compliance personnel.

· Enter data into tracking software to produce reports and analysis.

· Assist in the drafting of internal documentation.

· Use software to measure confidential deliverables.

· Perform trend analysis and forecasting.

· Experience developing and executing business participation plans to meet DBE/Small Business goals.

· Demonstrated experience managing diverse firms on comparable size and scoped contracts.

· Knowledge of the contract delivery method and processes

· Familiarity with local DBE/Small Business organizations and minority chambers

· Knowledge of youth workforce development strategies and programs to increase representation of diverse youth populations in Architecture Engineering Construction (AEC) career pathways

· Other duties as assigned and necessary

• This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· BA or BS degree or a minimum of 5 to 10 years relevant professional experience.

· Proven experience as a consultant.

· Experience using MS O365 and other tools for efficiency.

· Experience in project management

· Thorough knowledge of field of expertise and willingness to keep abreast of advancements.

· Ability to support detailed proposals and plans.

· Knowledge of data analysis and research techniques.

· Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
