OVERVIEW/DUTIES/DESCRIPTION
- Perform E&E functions and activities on former military fighter aircraft equipped with 3rd and 4th generation technology, e.g. 1553 MUX systems, multiple offensive/defensive systems, as well as civilian aviation platforms such as Garmin, Avidyne, etc.
- Integrate/modernize new technologies into legacy aircraft...GPS, EFIS, ECM Pods, EO sensors, electrical power systems, etc.
- Perform depot level inspections, overhauls and repairs on E&E systems and components.
- Accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, drawings, engineering orders, and other documents from both the manufacturers and Draken
- Accurately document automated maintenance data systems, aircraft logbooks and component log cards
- Complete other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must Have 4 years F-16 or F-15 E&E experience
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Must speak, read, write, and understand English
- Travel may be required
- Must be able to work day shift, night shifts or weekend duty as required
- Must have an in-depth working knowledge of aircraft safety directives.
- Must have a working knowledge of computers (input/extract data) and basic computer software programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Obtain/maintain aircraft/equipment Red X/IPI certification
- Obtain/maintain security clearance
- Citizenship must be compliant with International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Minimum three years of experience in aircraft electrical maintenance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Test continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments
- Diagnose and resolve discrepancies in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment
- Ability to solder, crimp, and splice wiring and other electrical components
- Install and connect power supplies, wiring, cables, braided sleeving, heat shrink, conduit, and other electrical components
- Maintain housekeeping standards on completion of tasks and accurate tool accountability
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Environment ranges from office-like to hangar and flight line. Extensive sitting, climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 25 pounds regularly with occasional heavy lifting
- Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
- Ability to properly wear protective equipment
