We are looking for a skilled and motivated Screen Print Department Supervisor to lead our production team in Northeast Ohio. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with strong experience in screen printing operations, automatic presses, and production workflow management.
You’ll be responsible for driving efficiency, quality, and team performance while ensuring jobs are completed on time and to spec in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Workflow Management
Oversee daily screen print production, scheduling, and job prioritization
Ensure efficient workflow and minimize downtime on automatic and manual presses
Coordinate with art, prepress, and fulfillment teams to meet deadlines
Track and improve KPIs such as output, efficiency, and error rates
Team Leadership & Development
Supervise, train, and mentor press operators and production staff
Assign daily tasks and manage staffing needs
Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching
Build a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture
Quality Control
Ensure all printed products meet quality standards and customer expectations
Perform in-process inspections during production runs
Troubleshoot issues including registration, ink consistency, and curing
Implement improvements to reduce waste and rework
Equipment & Maintenance
Oversee setup and operation of screen print equipment
Ensure proper maintenance of presses, dryers, and screens
Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs
Inventory & Materials Management
Manage inventory of inks, screens, emulsions, and supplies
Oversee ink mixing and Pantone color matching
Track usage and reduce material waste
Safety & Compliance
Enforce OSHA and company safety standards
Train team on proper equipment and chemical handling
Maintain a clean, organized production environment
Qualifications
Required
3–5 years of screen print experience
1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
Strong knowledge of screen print processes, inks, and equipment
Ability to troubleshoot production issues effectively
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Preferred
Experience with automatic presses (M&R, ROQ, or similar)
Knowledge of color theory and Pantone matching
Experience with production tracking or ERP systems
Lean manufacturing or process improvement experience
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Lift up to 40 lbs
Work in a fast-paced production environment
