Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle systems using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics.
- Conduct engine repairs, including diesel engine maintenance and automotive engine system troubleshooting.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and electrical systems to diagnose issues accurately.
- Carry out vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, shock/strut replacement, spark plug replacement and brake repairs.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for mechanical repairs, welding, and heavy lifting tasks.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive service with a focus on light to medium-duty vehicles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive engine technology, powertrain components, and vehicle systems.
- Experience working with automotive electrical systems and interpreting wiring diagrams.
- Skilled in using automotive diagnostic tools, schematics, and diagnostic software for accurate troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform diesel engine repair and heavy lifting safely while adhering to manual handling protocols.
- Valid certification in automotive repair or mechanic experience preferred; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry advancements.
