Drain Mechanics is looking for an experienced Service Plumber to join our dynamic Service Team.

SUMMARY:

Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures of water, drainage systems and radiant heating in residential homes or commercial buildings by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Repairs, installs, and replaces existing plumbing fixtures including toilets, faucets, sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposal units, dishwashers, and water softeners. Repairs and maintains plumbing by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, clearing drain stoppages, and repairing or replacing water and drain lines.
• Installs new plumbing supply and waste lines according to local building codes.
• Locates/repairs leaks inside and outside the home or commercial building.
• Installs and/or repairs copper/PVC/CPVC/PEX/galvanized/iron piping.
• Utilizes strong customer service skills to communicate and maintain relationships with clients.
• Engages in demolition associated with plumbing.
• Attends service meetings
• Maintains van inventory, cleanliness, and organization.
• Practices safe driving habits.
• Creates and presents estimates to customers.
• Follow through on designated customer follow up process
• Distinguish between time and materials vs. menu priced customers
• Appropriately processes all job-related paperwork in House Call Pro.
• Coordinates with purchasing for special order parts.
• Participate in after hours and weekend rotation schedule.

EDUCATION:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

• Plumbing: 2 years (Required)

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record (Required)

Schedule:

• 8-10 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Rotating on-call schedule
• Overtime available
• Weekends as needed

PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand, walk, sit, crawl, stoop, crouch, and kneel. The employee will often reach with hands and arms and use their hands to grasp, handle, or feel. The employee will often be required to talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., occasionally be required to lift up to 50 lbs. and will seldom be required to lift up to 100 lbs.
