We are seeking a skilled and dependable Drain Cleaner- sewer cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining drainage systems across various residential and commercial sites. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing, construction, and mechanical systems, along with the ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools. The Drain Cleaner will play a crucial part in ensuring the proper functioning of plumbing infrastructure while adhering to safety standards and project specifications.
Duties
- Inspect and diagnose drainage issues using
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and other mechanical devices to clean and repair drains.
- Perform pipe cleaning using augers, hydro jetters, or other specialized equipment.
- Assist with construction plumbing tasks including pipe installation, repair, and remodeling projects.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate work alignment with project plans.
- Conduct heavy lifting of pipes, equipment, and materials safely on construction sites.
- Collaborate with team members on remodeling or renovation projects involving plumbing systems.
- Maintain safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries on site.
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements, material estimates, and project planning.
- Operate heavy machinery or vehicles if required for transportation or site access.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction plumbing or related fields such as HVAC, carpentry, or remodeling.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading, welding, and schematics reading.
- Construction site experience involving heavy lifting and working in diverse environments.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to plumbing and drainage infrastructure.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and basic math skills
- Prior maintenance person experience or assembly work is advantageous.
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles or perform basic remodeling tasks is a plus. Candidates should possess strong mechanical knowledge, construction site familiarity, and the physical ability to handle demanding tasks safely and efficiently.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
