What is a typical shift like?
We offer a complimentary Family Meal daily to start all shifts off on the right foot. Your typical shift would run roughly 5-9 hours long. While we do operate in a fast-paced environment, you’re able to take breaks as needed (business levels & time permitting) with approval. During a given shift, you’ll be responsible for:
Hot Line/ Prep Cook Job Responsibilities:
* Setting up, cleaning, and organizing work stations
* Preparing ingredients for the shift; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.
* Preparing oven, utensils, and grill for shift
* Taking orders from wait staff or computerized system
* Cooking order according to recipe and food health/safety standards
* Handling multiple food orders at one time
* Monitoring multiple food orders as new orders arrive
* Plating order for presentation
* Delivering food order to wait staff in a timely manner
* Storing all food properly
* Sanitizing and cleaning work stations and utensils
* Reordering stock and food supplies
* Monitoring other cooks and team members
* Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed
Are you qualified?
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has a great attitude and an open mind to learn and teach
* Believes in providing great team and customer service
* Can plan and multi-task
* Is self-motivated with a high energy level
* Loves to communicate
Education & Experience:
* High school diploma or GED
* Hospitality-related kitchen experience preferred
* Japanese experience a plus! But not required
