We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Cannabis Operations to lead our
product development and production operations. This executive role will oversee the full
lifecycle of product innovation—from R&D and formulation to manufacturing, quality
assurance, and regulatory compliance. You will work cross-functionally with cultivation,
processing, retail, and executive leadership to ensure that our cannabis products meet the highest
standards of efficacy, safety, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:
Product Development & Innovation
- Lead R&D and product formulation efforts across multiple categories (vapes, edibles,
tinctures, topicals, flower, and new delivery technologies).
- Identify emerging trends in cannabis science, product formats, and consumer needs.
- Translate market insights and patient feedback into product strategies and timelines.
- Oversee product testing, stability studies, and shelf-life validation.
- Ensure all products are developed to meet rigorous standards of safety, quality, and
bioavailability.
Operational Oversight
- Direct day-to-day operations for cannabis manufacturing and processing, including
extraction, infusion, packaging, and post-harvest processes.
- Collaborate with cultivation and inventory teams to align raw material supply with
production planning.
- Establish and monitor KPIs across operational functions to ensure performance,
efficiency, and scalability.
- Develop and enforce SOPs for compliance, sanitation, and safety aligned with state
regulations and internal standards.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure product integrity through robust quality control systems and documentation.
- Oversee batch tracking, COA validation, and compliance audits.
- Partner with regulatory teams to stay ahead of changes in local and federal cannabis laws.
Team Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary operations and R&D team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and innovation.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities aligned with Dragonfly’s

Qualifications
- 7 years of leadership experience in cannabis, CPG, pharmaceuticals, or food
manufacturing.
- Proven success in product development and operational oversight in a regulated industry.
- Deep understanding of cannabis science, extraction methods, formulation, and delivery
systems.
- Familiarity with cGMP, HACCP, METRC, and state cannabis compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills across technical and non-technical
departments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering, Business, or related
field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience launching cannabis products in a regulated U.S. market.
- Expertise in butane hash oil (BHO) extraction, including equipment selection, safety
protocols, and post-processing methods.
- Experience with lab setup—designing and commissioning cannabis extraction or
production labs.
- Proven ability in strategic sourcing, vendor selection, and managing supply
partnerships.
- Strong data analytics and continuous improvement background (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Expertise in vape hardware, emulsions, or advanced delivery systems.
