Duties
- Provide attentive care to children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures.
- Support children’s emotional development through positive reinforcement, behavior management strategies, and active listening.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that encourages exploration and development while complying with licensing standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, or nannying is highly valued.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Strong skills in behavior management and classroom organization to foster positive interactions.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
