Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring efficient communication with kitchen staff
- Present menus, recommend specials, and upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Manage guest inquiries and resolve any issues swiftly to ensure complete satisfaction
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning, and resetting stations to maintain a clean and inviting dining area
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities using POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background, including fine dining or nightclub environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse needs effectively
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Experience with food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Knowledge of food industry terminology including culinary experience, food preparation, and serving techniques
- Host/hostess experience or background in guest services is a plus
