Program Director/Martial Arts Instructor

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Martial Arts Program Director/Instructor to lead our youth and adult programs. This role combines teaching, leadership, and community engagement. The ideal candidate is passionate about fitness and martial arts, enjoys working with children, and can help grow and manage a thriving program.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engaging martial arts classes for ages 4–12 and teens/adults
• Manage class flow, discipline, safety, and student engagement
• Oversee program operations, including scheduling, attendance, and student evaluations
• Assist with marketing, events, demonstrations, and community outreach
• Support enrollment efforts by conducting intro lessons and speaking with parents
• Maintain a clean, safe, and positive training environment
• Mentor assistant instructors and junior leaders

Qualifications

• Personal training experience or Martial arts experience a plus (any style: Karate, Taekwondo, Kung Fu, MMA, etc.)
• Prior teaching or coaching experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work with children in a structured, positive manner
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must pass background screening
• Valid Driver's License

Duties

• Lead engaging classes and workshops for children and students of various ages, ensuring activities are safe, inclusive, and fun.
• Manage behavior and foster a positive environment through effective behavior management strategies.
• Supervise staff and volunteers to ensure high-quality instruction and safety standards are maintained at all times.
• Coordinate scheduling of classes, events, and special programs while maintaining clear communication with participants and parents.
• Monitor participant progress and provide feedback to support skill development and confidence building.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
