We are seeking a reliable and professional Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver to join our team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate vehicles and transport patients and clients to scheduled appointments
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, including routine inspections
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe transportation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and healthcare facilities to coordinate pickups and drop-offs
- Handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility devices or personal belongings
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and passenger details as required
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations related to commercial driving and passenger transport
Skills
- Proven experience in medical transport driving and customer service.
- Valid CDL driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong communication skills for interacting professionally with clients and team members
- Knowledge of paratransit operations and heavy lifting techniques for passenger assistance
- Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and identify potential issues
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards
- Experience in commercial driving or school bus driving is preferred but not required
