Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their food orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Prepare food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and sanitation.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively to support food preparation processes.
- Manage customer orders from start to finish, ensuring timely service and satisfaction.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain a clean workspace by following sanitation guidelines and proper food handling procedures.
- Process cash transactions accurately, handle cash register operations, and balance cash drawers at the end of shifts.
- Support retail sales transactions when applicable, including processing payments and providing excellent customer service.
- Assist in operating café or kitchen equipment as needed to support daily operations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant flow during busy hours.
Requirements
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential!
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, retail math, and order totals.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly between tasks, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but training will be provided.
- Experience operating kitchen or café equipment is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be available for all necessary tools.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts.
