Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help ensure excellent patient care.
Duties:
- Prepare patients for dental procedures. Set up procedure trays and clean up operatories.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures
- Take digital dental X-rays
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Perform various office tasks as needed
- Assist Dental Hygienist and office manager when needed
Skills:
The following skills are required or considered beneficial for this role:
-Good Communicator
- Proficiency in X-Ray procedures
- Experience in dental assisting
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
- Ability to take vital signs accurately
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques in a dental setting
- Ability to manage and maintain dental records efficiently
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy
