Job Summary
We are seeking a personable and organized Front Desk Staff member to serve as the welcoming face of our practice. This role involves managing front office operations, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting administrative functions to ensure smooth daily activities. The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized, and proficient in handling multiple responsibilities with professionalism and enthusiasm. Experience with office management systems and customer support is required. This is a part time position floating between our Dearborn and Trenton offices. The position include 25 hours per week with one day being Saturdays 9-12. Insurance, PTO, and paid holidays offered after 90 days of employment.
Duties
- Greet and check in/out patients with a friendly and professional demeanor, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage multi-line phone systems, directing calls efficiently and courteously using proper phone etiquette.
- Handle incoming correspondence, emails, and inquiries promptly and accurately.
- Maintain organized filing systems, perform data entry, and ensure all records are up-to-date utilizing eThomas and practice fusion software.
- Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate meetings.
- Verifying eligibility and benefits using various insurance portals and by phone. Obtain prior authorizations and referrals when necessary.
Experience
- Prior office experience or administrative support roles is expected.
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and data entry skills. Prior experience with eThomas is highly valued.
- Experience working with multi-line phone systems and handling high-volume calls efficiently, professionally, and courteously.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills to support patients when in office.
- Clerical experience including filing, proofreading, and calendar management is a plus.
- Experience utilizing various insurance eligibility, benefit, and authorization verification systems via phone, and provider portals.
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
