Summary
Coach, recruit, and provide operational support to the Men’s Basketball program. This position will be the liaison and campus contact for Men’s Basketball.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position could be responsible for assigning work and/or giving direction to part-time Student Workers, in order to complete office work assignments.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; and a minimum of two years experience coaching at the NCAA Division I level; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Understand and agree to abide by the mission of CBU and the CBU Athletics Department.
- Assist with coaching at practice and during games.
- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate player recruitment and other player related concerns.
- Create and manage recruiting mail-outs and contacts.
- Assist the head coach in organizing practice and game schedules.
- Assist in managing scholarship requests and other required institutional and NCAA forms through the university’s compliance software.
- Assist in the management of class schedules, book vouchers, and academic progress for student-athletes.
- Organize and arrange all team travel, which includes managing budget and credit card reconciliations.
- Organize and account for all team equipment, including ordering, check out and storage.
- Manage social media sites, coordinate community service events, and be a coordinator for summer camp.
- Serve as facilities liaison and work with Events Center Facilities Director on Men’s Basketball team and visiting team needs.
- Participate in organization and execution of basketball practices, scouting reports, individual workouts, and break down film from our own team.
- Adhere to all conference and NCAA rules, pass annual NCAA recruiting test.
- Attend all department compliance meetings.
