Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Hydrologist 1 located in West Sacramento, CA, with opportunities for remote work. The Hydrologist 1 will support water resource management projects by conducting hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, flood risk assessments, and water quality evaluations. Responsibilities include data collection and analysis, reporting findings, preparing hydrologic and modeling reports, and contributing to project planning processes. The role requires collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams and adherence to environmental regulations and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Experience with Flood Risk and Hydrology assessments.
- Proficiency in Water Resource Management including strategies to optimize water usage and sustainability.
- Knowledge of Water Quality monitoring or evaluation methods and regulations.
- Understanding of Groundwater systems and associated hydrological processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Hydrology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with hydrologic modeling tools and software is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Capability to interpret and apply environmental regulations such as NEPA to projects.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
