Responsibilities:
- Prepare and update patient charts prior to appointments, ensuring all necessary documentation (lab results, imaging, specialist reports) is included
- Room patients, record vitals, and support providers during exams
- Perform EKGs, draw blood, administer vaccines and injections, and conduct basic point‑of‑care testing
- Manage clinical supplies, equipment sterilization, and inventory
- Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and follow‑up orders
- Document accurately in the EMR system (AthenaHealth experience a plus)
- Deliver exceptional patient service, communicating clearly with patients in person and by phone
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a primary care, family medicine, or outpatient clinical setting
- Demonstrated experience in chart prep and EMR navigation
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Professional demeanor, empathy, and a positive work ethic
