Job Summary:
The Merchandiser is responsible for maintaining product availability and presentation in retail stores. This role ensures that our products are properly stocked, displayed, and promoted to maximize sales. The merchandiser works closely with sales representatives, store managers, and delivery drivers to uphold company standards and maintain strong customer relationships. You’ll be responsible for maintaining product availability, organizing displays, and supporting sales initiatives to maximize visibility and drive sales for Dr Pepper and our allied brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock and rotate products on shelves and in coolers at assigned retail accounts.
- Maintain accurate product levels in displays, racks, and coolers according to company merchandising standards.
- Ensure shelves, coolers, and back stock areas are clean, organized, and properly labeled.
- Place and maintain point-of-sale (POS) materials such as signage, shelf tags, and promotional displays.
- Communicate store-level opportunities, out-of-stocks, and competitive activity to sales and delivery teams.
- Work safely and efficiently while representing the brand with professionalism.
- Develop positive relationships with store managers and staff to ensure optimal product placement and execution of sales programs.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to sales or delivery teams.
- Verify product pricing, promotional signage, and compliance with company marketing programs.
- Report store-level issues, competitor activity, and product performance to managers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Prior merchandising, retail, or beverage industry experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and reliable transportation (required).
- Subject to pre-employment physical, drug testing and ongoing randomized drug testing.
- Ability to lift and move cases of beverages (up to 50 lbs.) and work in various conditions (coolers, warehouses, retail floors).
- Strong organizational, time-management, customer service and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to work early mornings and holidays as required.
Work Schedule
- 35-40 hours per week.
- Monday through Friday.
- Early morning start times; (e.g., 3:30-5 AM) to service stores before peak hours.
