- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations by preparing supplies and documenting clinical notes in accordance with medical documentation standards.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times.
- Support the medical team with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient records.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy to accurately capture clinical details.
- Facilitate effective communication between patients and providers by providing clear instructions and answering basic questions about procedures or forms.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a medical office or clinical environment is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR systems is essential for efficient documentation management.
- Experience with medical transcription, typing skills, and writing clear, detailed notes is required.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance policies and clinical confidentiality standards is necessary to protect patient information.
