Front Desk Position
Our hometown general practice is looking for a full-time, team-oriented front desk coordinator who is experienced, reliable, efficient, energetic, dedicated, and well-organized, to join our enthusiastic dental team. Candidates must have at least one year of dental office or medical office front desk experience. Dentrix experience would be ideal but is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. You will greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, verify insurance, process payments, and maintain accurate patient records. Between patient interactions, you will assist with administrative tasks and help keep the office running smoothly.

Front Desk Duties and Responsibilities
• Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming first impression
• Answer multi-line phones and respond to patient inquiries in a professional manner
• Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments efficiently
• Verify dental insurance benefits and obtain pre-authorizations as needed
• Process insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims
• Collect and post patient payments, provide receipts, and manage balances
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Communicate with patients about treatment plans, financial arrangements, and upcoming visits
• Coordinate referrals and specialist appointments when necessary
• Prepare and organize daily schedules for doctors and hygienists
• Monitor and manage front office supplies and inventory
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and ensure patient confidentiality at all times
Front Desk Requirements and Qualifications
• 1 years of dental office or medical office front desk experience (required)
• Strong knowledge of dental insurance verification and claims processing (preferred)
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Friendly, compassionate, and professional demeanor with patients and teammates
• Ability to remain calm and efficient in a busy environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
• Proficiency with computers; Dentrix experience preferred but not required
• Commitment to teamwork and supporting both administrative and clinical staff
