What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Grade 6-8 Language Arts (Leave Replacement) position at DR. NAPIER SCHOOL # 4?
Qualifications:
- New Jersey teacher instructional certificate with a Middle School ELA in Grades 5-8 endorsement or a K-12 English endorsement
- Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA
- Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles
- Knowledge of English grammar, word usage, word denotations and connotations, spelling, literature and other content areas taught.
- Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
- Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, administrators and the community
