Job Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and materials
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and trimming impressions
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
Requirements
- 1 year experience working in a dental office or similar healthcare setting, training available
- Proficiency in dental software systems, such as Dentrix/Open Dental
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Familiarity with medical terminology and dental procedures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of anatomy and dental procedures
- Understanding of infection control protocols
