Dr. Marc Allen Medical PC is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Full Time Medical Assistant to join our team in Northport, NY. Responsibilities:
- Assist physician with patient examinations, procedures, and clinical care
- Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints accurately in EMR/EHR systems
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper supply inventory
- Administer injections, collect lab specimens, and perform routine diagnostic tests
- Manage patient scheduling, appointment reminders, and front-to-back office flow
- Handle prior authorizations, prescription refill requests, and patient follow-up calls
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical protocols
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
- Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient medical office setting
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR software and basic medical office procedures
- Strong phlebotomy and vital signs skills
- Excellent communication and patient-facing interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR/BLS certification is a plus
