What are the responsibilities and job description for the Millwright position at DR Johnson Lumber?
Overall plant-wide maintenance and installation of various machinery and equipment.
· Diagnose problems with machinery.
· Installs machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools
· Reads blue prints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
· Cut, weld and fabricate.
· Maintains, dismantles, moves, assembles, installs, aligns and services all plant equipment and machinery.
· Knowledge of pneumatic hydraulic and stored energy.
· Performs preventative maintenance.
· Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and stored energy.
· Maintains and promotes awareness of safe working conditions and practices by following all policies and procedures. Cautions others, as necessary, in working in a safe manner.
· Verbally reports any unusual conditions to sawmill superintendent.
· Performs routine corrective electrical maintenance.
· Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
· Must be able to perform within a team environment.
